January 2024 Schedule of Services for Saint Patrick’s Chapel in Clifden, Ireland
Coming into the last weeks of the Advent Fast, we look forward to celebrating Christmas and many more feast days together in January. In particular, we look forward to the end of the month, when we celebrate the Feast of Saint Ita of Killeedy, whose intercessions we ask to help us set up our Mission’s Community Farm. Saint Ita centred her spiritual labours around the cultivation and management of an agricultural and dairy farm. She and her monastic sisters used the farm to feed the poor. She also fostered several young children who later became saints, including Saint Brendan from the age of one.
Below is our schedule for January. Please note that our times are slightly different than before. If needed, we are happy to arrange pick-up from the Clifden bus stop; please let us know in advance!

We celebrate the Feast of Saint Ita on Sunday, January 28. Photo: Baby Saint Brendan plays at the feet of Saint Ita as featured in her window at Saint Brendan’s Cathedral Baptistry in Loughrea.
