Three Projects to Build Community
The Saint Patrick Orthodox Mission, in pursuit of God’s Kingdom, plans to offer three key community projects. We hope to establish a Community Farm dedicated to Saint Ita. In tandem with farming, we also hope to start an Ecological Recovery Centre dedicated to Saint Modomnoc, patron of Ireland’s bees, to improve the health of Shanakeever’s strained bog ecology. Finally, we pray that God will help us start up Saint Willibald’s Educational Centre. Though these projects will require some years to fully realise, we have faith that God will help us according to His Will.

Experiencing God Together
Christ promises that, in community, when “two or more gather in my name,” He touches in spirit the earth amid them (Matthew 18:20). This profound spiritual transformation is the foundation upon which the Saint Patrick Orthodox Church in Clifden, Ireland hopes to be built. Through prayer, fasting, hard work, and love for God’s creation, communities transform their surroundings into a life-giving melody. Their joint efforts become a song of welcome for Christ Himself, chief cornerstone of the Kingdom of God on earth.

Foundation Stones
Saint Patrick Orthodox Mission has been offering regular liturgical services in the Chapel of Saint Patrick since the Fall of 2023. Meanwhile, we have been laying some foundation stones for our community projects. As foundation stones tend to be the heaviest, prayer and patience has been necessary for progress. We thank God for the support we have been given so far and, remembering how Irish Saint Féchín built the monastery of Fore, entrust the lintel stone to God’s hands.
