SEPTEMBER 2025 SERVICE SCHEDULE FOR SAINT PATRICK’S CHAPEL IN CLIFDEN, IRELAND
Our September 2025 Service Schedule will observe the restarting of the Church calendar year; wrapping up the previous year on September 13 (August 31 according to the Old Calendar). We will recall with fasting the beheading of the Forerunner, Saint John the Baptist, on September 11, one of the last days of the church calendar. The Nativity of the Theotokos (21.09), occurs a the first major Church Feast of the new calendar year, followed a week later by the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross (27.09).

- Su 21.09: 9 am – 11:30 am Hours and Divine Liturgy celebrating the Nativity of the Theotokos
- Fr 26.09: 9 pm – Midnight All-Night Vigil
- Sa 27.09: 9 am – 11:30 am Hours and Divine Liturgy celebrating the Exaltation of the Cross

Great therefore and admirable in very deed is the forerunner, who was the dawning before the Savior’s meridian splendor, the precursor of the spiritual daylight, beautiful as the morning star, and called of God the Father a torch.
Saint Cyril of Alexandria (+ 444 AD), in praise of Saint John the Baptist, whose beheading we remember with fasting on September 11.
