With the Orthodox calendar ending in August with the Dormition of the Theotokos and Beheading of Saint John the Baptist, September marks the beginning of a new liturgical year. We will celebrate this month the Nativity of the Theotokos and the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-giving Cross.
