The Orthodox calendar integrates a tapestry of fasts, feasts, scripture readings, and hagiography. Some of these dates, such as Pascha (Easter), change from year to year, while others, such as Christmas, remain fixed. Unlike most Western practices, we continue to follow the Julian calendar.
